A fantastic teaching opportunity has arisen at this kindergarten for a qualified and certified early childhood teacher, preferably with a minimum of 5+ years' experience to join our dedicated team. This is a position for a NZ registered ECE teacher with a current practising certificate.

For success in this role, you will also need the following skills and attributes:
A NZ ECE qualification (or NZQA assessed equivalent)
Working understanding of emergent curriculum and Te Whāriki
Strong bicultural and multicultural focus, and commitment to bicultural practice
Strength and experience in planning, and internal evaluations
Ability to write meaningful and authentic documentation that reflects the child and their learning
A warm and welcoming nature, someone who engages and welcomes whānau, and builds a great sense of community and belonging
Commitment to equity and inclusion, and experience working with diverse communities
A sense of responsibility, willingness to take initiative, open to new challenges
Strength in communication and documentation, and confidence using ICT as a teaching tool
Child-led responsive teaching
A sense of humour, along with passion and enthusiasm
A professional and respectful team player, easy to get along with.
