A great opportunity awaits a dynamic and passionate principal/tumuaki in the heart of North Otago.

We are a contributing primary school in the town of Oamaru, the business and service hub of North Otago. For the 2020 year, the school will be organised around 4 modern flexible classrooms, some of which will be composite groupings. The school is well staffed for the year and we would envisage the new principal will not need to teach in term 2 whilst becoming established.

Ideally applicants will:

  • Be an experienced school leader with a proven visionary record
  • Be a collaborative leader who can listen, laugh, communicate with and relate to persons of all ages
  • Be culturally responsive; confident and comfortable working with parents, whānau, hapū and iwi
  • Be a lifelong learner who is highly motivated, enthusiastic, inspiring and professional
  • Have a focus on leading learning that encourages innovation in a modern and digital learning age.

We seek to appoint the new principal to commence at the beginning of term 2.
