Are you an experienced ECE teacher looking for a new leadership opportunity? We are looking for a dedicated, energetic and nurturing registered teacher to join our team.

We are no ordinary childcare centre; the unique, innovative and holistic approach to early childhood education means that children, staff and families are given the individual attention needed to thrive. Situated in the heart of town with convenient access to many of Gisborne’s natural amenities, the internal spaces and playground design make use of natural materials inspiring tamariki to connect often with the natural world.

As a leader, our ideal applicant will have strong written and verbal communication skills and will use their expertise and knowledge to lead the team with planning and internal evaluation. You will be confident in your ability to work alongside the centre manager in the day-to-day running of the centre and ensure that great routines and rituals are developed. Your passion to support and drive curriculum design and innovation will be evident in your own daily practice. You will role model exceptional teaching practice and contribute to all elements of team mentoring.

As a valued teacher of our centre, we can offer you a great benefits package including:

  • Competitive remuneration
  • Subsidised childcare (if applicable)
  • Reimbursement for teacher registration costs
  • Annual flu vaccinations and first aid certification
  • Staff uniforms
  • A robust induction programme with regular and ongoing mentoring and professional development
  • The opportunity to work alongside a committed and dedicated team.

Take advantage of this fantastic leadership opportunity and apply today!

Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
