Are you someone who wants to make a difference educating young New Zealanders?

Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the role

The educator-historian role has a primary function of delivering educational programmes to both primary and secondary school students visiting Pukeahu National War Memorial Park (Pukeahu). The education programme at Pukeahu has been in operation since 2015.

With the announcement in September 2019 that New Zealand history will be taught in all schools and kura by 2022, this is an exciting opportunity to support the Ministry's contribution to this kaupapa. This role will work closely with the lead educator-historian in providing specialist education advice and content in support of the Ministry's wider role of helping New Zealanders better connect with our past to enable them to better navigate our present and future.
