We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate kaiako to join our experienced team in Tokoroa.
Our centre is operated by Central Kids Early Education, who manage 55 other kindergartens and early learning centres throughout the central North Island.
Central Kids provide access to high-quality professional development opportunities and ongoing professional support to maintain quality teaching practice.
Located on the south side of Tokoroa, our centre offers children the opportunity to lead their own learning, through respectful, responsive, and consultative relationships. We have a large outdoor area planted with shrubs and trees and our own vegetable garden to nurture connections with nature.
At our centre, we cater for children 0–6 years old and operate an U2s and O2s area, and our team is committed to providing positive outcomes for all tamariki. Our environment fosters unhurried learning which nurtures tamariki through inclusion and equality, provoking investigation, discovery, and exploration.
We are looking for a teacher who can demonstrate that they are:
A motivated, enthusiastic teacher, who is able to put current theory into practice
Passionate about working within a mixed-age centre, with both U2 and O2 aged tamariki
Able to demonstrate a working knowledge of Te Whāriki
Able to have robust conversations and work with a team who have a strong committment to supporting the social and emotional growth of tamariki
Committed to creating/maintaining strong, positive relationships within the wider community
Able to demonstrate a growth mindset, be open and willing to change that enables us to continue providing high-quality early education to all tamariki who attend our service
ECE qualified and hold current certification and a current first aid certificate.
