The Dunedin Public Art Gallery is offering a 12 month, part-time position, providing the opportunity for someone with a demonstrated commitment to produce and implement LEOTC education programmes designed for school-age students.

Reporting to the public programmes and collection manager, you will be a member of the gallery’s public programmes and collection team. You will develop and implement LEOTC programmes which support the New Zealand Curriculum using the resources of the Dunedin Public Art Gallery.

Professional competencies:

  • Sound experience in the field of teaching
  • An understanding and interest in art and Māori culture
  • Experience in developing education programmes designed to meet the needs of New Zealand Curriculum framework
  • Well-developed research skills
  • An ability to develop and teach hands-on art activities
  • Culturally sensitive
  • Committed to realising the LEOTC objectives within the timeframe
  • Friendly and outgoing, with a sense of curiosity and adventure.
