We are keen to have onboard an enthusiastic and approachable secondary teacher to work across our Y7–13 classes in any combination of the following: English and any other possibilities (prefer PE and health / maths / art). Experience in NCEA and the outdoors would be an advantage.
You must be a team player, have a collaborative approach, be flexible, happy to share your strengths (and weaknesses) as we all work together to ensure students get the best from the whole staff team. If you are a motivated professional, keen to inspire our smaller sized classes then you will enjoy our unique area school.
There is an expectation that teachers may have to teach other subjects or help out in the primary school. Having the ability to be flexible and open to teach in other curriculum areas is an asset. Please tell us your areas of expertise and additional strengths.
In return we offer:
Amazing children and friendly staff
Collaborative teaching opportunities with passionate, enthusiastic colleagues
A supportive and engaged school community
A clear vision for teaching and learning
A focus on personal wellbeing and positive education
Learning programmes that connect learners to the environment
A national park and rugged coastlines, plus a myriad of walking tracks and nearby biking trails
Enviro-friendly rural lifestyle.
