We are looking for a creative, innovative kaiako matua (senior teacher) who’s a subject expert in kaupapa Māori to join our team. This role can be based in any of our Te Kura offices.

Interested in authentic learning, you model current pedagogy and are always coming up with new ideas.

You’re enthusiastic, collaborative, understand the key competencies of the New Zealand Curriculum assessment practice and are committed to improving education outcomes for students.

The successful applicant will ideally have:

  • Sound understanding of Te Ao Māori
  • Experience in assessing NCEA Level 1 and above
  • Experience in moderation and processes, and
  • Preferably be a fluent speaker of te reo Māori.
