RKA is a true not-for-profit organisation with a community-based, child-centred approach and quality services located across the Manawatu-Whanganui region and parts of Rangitikei, Tararua and Horowhenua. We’re set to open a brilliant, NEW, 65 place license early learning centre in Summerhill and we’re seeking teachers to join teaching teams in our dazzling state-of-the-art service.

This role works alongside the team leader and an in-training teacher in one of 3 age groups across this service. Are you an outstanding teacher keen to assist in providing the best possible education, care and service for children and whānau?

The preferred candidate will also:

  • Be a fully registered and certificated ECE teacher with a current full first aid qualification
  • Have proven experience with planning, assessment and self-review
  • Develop a robust understanding of the community they service
  • Be committed to Te Tiriti o Aotearoa and comprehension of te reo, tikanga and te ao Māori
  • Maintain a multicultural lens alongside inclusive practices
  • Bring proven ICT and administrative skills
  • Contribute to a collaborative team culture through excellent communication and listening
  • Stay motivated, positive and driven to support this ELC succeed to the highest potential.

We expect the role will commence during February 2020 with interviews before mid January.
