Early learning educator
Do you want to work in the heart of the city, 100 metres from Willis St, in a small mixed-aged community centre? We regularly travel on the buses to gymnastics, visiting the airport, and attend events happening around the city. We like to have picnics in the Botanical Gardens and regularly take our children on the train to Johnsonville to have hot chocolates.
We promote our children to be active citizens–'did you see us recently at the student strike for climate change'?
- Are you looking for a role where your professional development is important?
- Do you want to be paid a competitive salary and work with some great people?
- Do you want a job that genuinely allows you to follow a child’s interest and your own?
We're looking for a team player with excellent communication skills, sound knowledge of implementing Te Whāriki, and solid knowledge of internal evaluation. You'll be organised and flexible; self-motivated and energetic; playful and diligent; creative and innovative.
A key strength of our centre is that we take a holistic approach to learning, where we intentionally plan and scaffold learning activities, where children’s interests are recognised and extended.
We have a dedicated team of teachers who provide an exciting programme following in the RIE and Reggio philosophies. We don't mind if you're an experienced qualified and fully registered ECE teacher or a graduating teacher with a passion and calmness. Our parents describe us as a small supportive team working in a caring dynamic environment.
Get in touch with us and see if our centre is a good fit for you.
We look forward to hearing from you!
