Due to the retirement of our highly experienced senior practice leader, we are looking for someone to fill big shoes. If you are an experienced RTLB ready for leadership or a practice leader looking to move to the beautiful Hawke's Bay, then this may be the position for you.
The successful applicant will be a fully trained RTLB passionate about their work, with the ability to to build a team culture and mentor staff. A forward-thinking attitude and being adaptive to change are important attributes to support the achievement of our cluster’s vision.
Responsibilities: a practice leader is responsible for leadership, guidance and support of RTLB in their professional practice, under the direction of the cluster manager. A practice leader supports the decisions of the lead school and the RTLB strategic leadership and management team (principal and cluster manager). Practice leaders work closely with their cluster manager and support them in their day-to-day management of the cluster.
The senior practice leader will have additional delegated leadership responsibilities within the cluster, and as a practising RTLB, must be a New Zealand fully-registered teacher/kaiako with a current practising certificate.
As per the Primary Teachers' Collective, a successful applicant who gains an increase in units through the appointment will be eligible for removal expenses.
A full driver's licence and use of own car is essential.
