We’re ideally looking for experienced teachers, who know and love our NZ Curriculum and really enjoy working with tamariki and whānau. They understand that all children are unique and need differing levels of support to reach their potential.
If this is you, you’ll be busy and committed to the children in your class. You might feel you’re ready for a change, want to take on a new challenge or just join our journey to be a community school, that reflects our community and values the language, culture and identity of our children.
You will be well-organised but flexible. You will be a capable communicator who can form relationships with tamariki, their whānau and your colleagues. You will enjoy a challenge, a laugh and take pleasure out of a child’s smile and success. You will know how to spark passion, creativity and enthusiasm for learning. You will see learning holistically with literacy and numeracy as important competencies.
You’ll have passions and strengths you will want to share with your colleagues and learners while being a self-directed, reflective teacher.
All our teachers work in ‘Duplex’ (2 adjoining and open responsive-learning environments) so ideally, you will have worked in a collaborative teaching and learning environment before or be desperate to try.
You might not have everything we are looking for, but will be keen to give it a go. Be bold! Give us a ring or come in and meet us… this is a great team to be part of.
