We are looking for an energetic, caring and professional teacher to join our U1 rural school. We are a well-resourced school with small classes of between 15–20 at the start of the year. Depending on the candidate's preference we have vacancies in our Y1–3 class and our Y4–6 class.
Our school is growing steadily with the introduction of another class likely during 2020. We offer a rural environment surrounded by the Waikato River and Port Waikato surf beaches. The school is focused on introducing an environmental-based curriculum focused on the Trees for Survival and Enviroschools programmes.
Applicants will have an up-to-date knowledge of the New Zealand Curriculum, be able to work both collaboratively and independently, and have strong relationship skills. They will also be committed to ongoing professional learning. We are an active member of our local Community of Learning – Te Kāhui Ako o te Pūaha o Waikato and may have a within school position (2FTU) available for staff to apply for.
The position commences on Tuesday 28 January 2020.
