Our Invercargill community learning centre is wanting to employ a highly motivated kaiako to join our teaching team.

Teachers will need to have:

  • The ability to build and maintain respectful relationships with our children and their whānau and with your work colleagues
  • The ability to incorporate Te Whāriki 2017 into our centre programme
  • A sense of playfulness – to enjoy smiling and laughing with and alongside our children and your colleagues
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven strategies to guide positive behaviour for our children
  • Confidence in computer literacy and the skill to document both children's learning, and your own registration journey
  • A current first aid certificate
  • A genuine commitment to our community spirit
  • Excellent time management skills.
