HCK have been growing young learners for over 90 years in Lower Hutt, providing quality and affordable early childhood education. This role focuses on developing a 2 year programme on supporting our kindergartens to provide optimal environments for children to develop speech, language and communication skills.
You will assess, develop, plan and coordinate developmental programmes through a collaborative process with senior teachers and teaching teams; monitoring and implementing effective interventions and provide relevant training programmes. You will have an integral role within our teaching team and provide advice for families, educators, management and relevant community groups on programme development and system changes.
At the end of the 2 year position senior teachers and teaching teams will be empowered to sustain these new practices and will have integrated these into their teaching practices.

Applicants must have:
- A Bachelor of Speech Language Therapy or, for qualifications prior to 1993
- A SLT graduate or an overseas Speech Language Therapy qualification as approved by the NZ Speech-Language Therapists Association
- A full New Zealand driver’s licence.
As a requirement under the Children’s Act 2014 our successful applicant must complete a New Zealand police vet.
