U4 special education national residential school for girls and young women who have complex learning and life skill needs. The school is situated in Richmond, Nelson, and the students live onsite during term time, returning to their home communities for the school holiday breaks.

The deputy principal is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the day school.

The successful applicant will have a special education background and significant experience working with vulnerable female students.  Indepth knowledge of the skills required when working with priority learner groups (Māori and Pasifika) is a prerequisite, as is knowledge of positive behaviour support and restorative practice processes.
