We are seeking to appoint an experienced teacher. This position has a strong curriculum leadership and assessment focus and the preferred candidate will have evidence of practice that has resulted in improved student achievement; particularly for priority learners.
The preferred applicant will also be able to demonstrate that they have a solid understanding of relational and culturally sustaining pedagogy. Other capabilities include being collaborative, believing in kids, having high expectations, digital capability and understanding how to get the most out of flexible learning spaces for students. Evidence of inclusive and restorative practice is important, and experience supporting learning for children with dyslexia or ADHD an advantage.
Our school is Y0–8, based 30 minutes south of Rotorua and the position is aimed at Y5–6 but will be confirmed depending on applicants.
