The Masterton/Whakaoriori Community of Learning is seeking innovative and collaborative teachers. There are 5 positions available within the Kāhui Ako for existing teachers from our school. If successful you will work within a team of across school COL teachers and the teachers from Wairarapa College for approximately four hours per 10-day cycle.
This fixed-term role will:
Focus on improving teaching practices in order to meet the shared achievement challenges
Work with colleagues to identify and address problems of professional practice
Work closely with the community leadership role
Promote best teaching practice within the school
Strengthen the use of an inquiry approach to teaching and learning to achieve the shared achievement objectives.
Terms and conditions:
The terms and conditions of this appointment are contained in the Secondary Teachers’ Collective Agreement. Included in the terms of employment for this role is a salary allowance of $8,000 per annum while you hold the role. A job description particular to the current role would be negotiated with the successful applicants.
Prerequisites for the role:
Applicants for the within school teacher role will have:
Employment as a teacher in the school
A current practising certificate
Recent teaching experience relevant to the role
Met professional standards relevant to their current position.
