We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate dance teacher who has a student-centered approach at the core of their practice. The successful applicant will inspire learners to develop their understanding of dance which extends to developing knowledge of global contexts, history and cultural understanding. We want our learners to be collaborative and risk-taking in ways that foster learning, joy and individual artistic expression.
Our ideal applicant will have a strong understanding of contemporary dance and choreography with strengths in at least one other genre. Understanding and confidence in teaching Māori performing arts is also advantageous.
Commitment to extracurricular performance opportunities is an essential part of this role.
We are a PB4L and restorative school as well as member of a Kāhui Ako, which has a focus on culturally responsive pedagogy.
