We are seeking an applicant with a proven track record in learning support. The successful applicant will work alongside students, teachers, whānau, iwi and agencies to support the learning of our students, focusing on equitable outcomes and ensuring clear pathways are created for learners from primary to secondary.

Whilst the role is based at Mt Hutt College, the learning support coordinator will work closely with the other coordinators across our Kāhui Ako to strengthen learning support provision, transitions for learners and support our wider Kāhui vision and goals.

Our learning support coordinator will work to build the learning support capability of our teachers and to help identify and plan for the learning support needs of all the children and young people across our school. This is a coordinating role but requires the incumbent to be an experienced teacher with the ability to engage, and work alongside teachers, to support the development of their practice in working with children with a range of learning support needs.

This position is the product of new MOE funding for learning support. More information on the position can be accessed by clicking here
