We are looking for an enthusiastic and collaborative current school leader, or someone who is ready to step into such a role, who has the energy, creativity and sensitivity to build upon a strong, positive culture and take our school into the future.
Our tumuaki/principal will have strong pedagogical, strategic, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to weave together these different strands to lead our beautiful kura on the Kapiti Coast.
Our tumuaki/principal will have an understanding of, and passion for, Waldorf education. Applicants may not be a current Waldorf principal, or New Zealand-based, but will be committed to upholding the school’s special character as a condition of employment. If you are a current Waldorf teacher looking for your next challenge you will understand how critically important our special character is to us. A practising certificate issued by the New Zealand Education Council (or the qualifications and experience to enable certification) is required.
Our ideal candidate will have proven experience in an educational leadership role and a willingness to understand andsupport our ongoing integration of authentic Tiriti o Waitangi partnership in policy and practice. This includes the integration of te reo Māori and tikanga Māori into school life.
If you are a strong and energetic strategic leader who relishes the opportunity to further grow Waldorf education on the Kapiti Coast in Aotearoa New Zealand, we’d love to hear from you. School visits would be most welcome and requests to do so can be directed to the BOT Chair.
