The Salvation Army ECE centres provide quality, Christian ECE and wrap around whānau care services in the local community. Our core values are Awhi/Aroha, Whanaungatanga, Manaakitanga and Wairua. 

We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified ECE teacher to join our team to start in January 2020.

We are based within a Salvation Army community hub and a part of this includes a focus on supporting our families with wrap-around services. 

Joining a group of passionate professionals who have a kind, caring and empathetic approach, the successful candidate will be dedicated to providing high-quality care to our precious tamariki. 

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Proven experience caring for tamariki in a similar setting
  • Good understanding of the NZ ECE curriculum
  • Understanding and commitment to te reo Māori
  • Strong team player and have a collaborative approach
  • High level of personal integrity
  • A commitment to continuous improvement
  • High level of empathy and compassion for tamariki
  • Clear communication skills. 

In return, you will be joining a close-knit team who support each other through their day. We pride ourselves on fostering the social and emotional wellbeing of our tamariki in order to develop a strong foundation for learning.
