We are seeking to appoint a director of boarding to lead our thriving boarding house.
Established in 1880, we combine sound traditions, values and a proud history with high academic achievement, whilst also recognising the importance of developing well-rounded young men able to make a positive contribution to society.
Situated on-site, Thomas House is an integral part of our life, providing boys the opportunity of participating in an education of the highest quality. A warm atmosphere exists in the boarding house, making this a home-away-from-home contributing positively to a well-rounded education and the social development of boarders.
Reporting to the rector, the director of boarding will be a key member of the school community, playing a wider role in student activities, engaging in the full life of the school, integrating the culture and values of the school into all parts of boarding life, and contributing to our ongoing success. You will be responsible for the professional leadership of Thomas House and tasked with providing a happy, caring and secure environment for 130 students where welfare is of paramount concern.
You will lead the hostel team of housemasters and hostel staff and oversee a superb catering and domestic team to provide a safe and inclusive environment for boarding students.
This is a full-time position which includes a part-time teaching load. Accommodation is included in the salary package.
