Manager, Auckland South Visual Resource Centre. 

We seek a leader, passionate about providing quality teaching and learning.  Ability to provide professional leadership and management to a team of resource teachers vision working across the Auckland eastern and southern regions is essential. 

The successful applicant will work collaboratively in 2020 managing the wider Auckland team. Throughout the year you will, in partnership with the senior manager, plan for a smooth transition to the establishment of 2 separate visual resource centres in 2021, one providing services to learners in the south eastern suburbs of Auckland, the other in the Pukekohe area.  

The applicant must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with ākonga (0–21 years), whānau, teachers and other professionals to ensure learners who are blind, deafblind and low vision have access to, and engagement in, the curriculum. 

Qualifications and experience in blindness education are highly desirable.

Start date is term 1 2020.
