We are looking for a home-based visiting teacher to join our team. It is a perfect opportunity to demonstrate your leadership and mentoring skills. This role involves mentoring and working together with our home-based educators. Experience in home-based will be an advantage. 

Currently, this role is for 30–35 hours/week. However, it may grow up to 40 hours in the future.

To apply for this position, a candidate should have:

  • A current teaching registration/practising certificate
  • Understanding of Te Whāriki and self-review
  • Be highly organised, flexible and friendly
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Eligibility to work in NZ
  • A current first aid certificate
  • Full NZ driving licence. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Visiting home-based educators
  • Preparing visit notes and write learning stories
  • Mentoring of educators
  • Conducting home safety checks
  • Programme planning
  • Curriculum
  • Organise excursions and playgroups
  • Following up enquiries and enrolments
  • Enrolling educators for service.
