The South Taranaki Kāhui Ako is looking for enthusiastic educators to be part of the new learning support coordinator initiative within our collaborative team in our Kāhui Ako. To be considered for these positions, applicants must be registered teachers.

The successful applicants will be able to:

  • Build meaningful relationships with whānau, the community and outside agencies to ensure students have a well-coordinated learning plan
  • Build meaningful relationships with teachers to ensure they can implement a well-coordinated learning plan
  • Demonstrate successful experience in working with students with learning support needs in the classroom
  • Demonstrate a sound knowledge, commitment to, and understanding of the learning support system
  • Understand and demonstrate knowledge of te ao Māori
  • Work with SENCOs in the South Taranaki Kāhui Ako
  • Work with other LSCs across the South Taranaki Kāhui Ako.
