Teacher - Counties Manakau Kindergarten Association
Our kindergarten located in Papakura, is currently undergoing an extensive renovation that will result in a brand-new, purpose-built facility with flexible learning spaces and able to offer a diverse range of services. Currently it is operating as a 3-teacher kindergarten with a roll of 25 children, and is located in temporary premises close by the permanent site. Upon completion of the rebuild in early 2020, it is expected that the roll and staffing will increase, and the model of operation will diversify to include longer hours of operation and a wider age range of children.
The first step in this project is to appoint a teacher into the current model of operations, in preparation for the expected growth.
We are therefore seeking a teacher who is versatile and a great communicator, interested in working in mixed-age group settings, willing and proactive around change and excited about being part of a period of change and growth for the kindergarten.
We welcome applications from graduate teachers who are seeking quality support for gaining full certification in our mentorship programme.
The role is fixed-term with a review date of March 2020 to align with the change of model of operations when the new building is completed.
Start date: To be negotiated.
Hours required: Monday to Friday 40 hours per week.
Applicants require a minimum qualification of a Level 7 Diploma or Bachelor of Teaching ECE, current first aid certificate and current teacher registration practising certificate.
Applicants must be eligible to work in New Zealand.
