We seek an innovative, enthusiastic kaiako committed to promoting a high level of student achievement in a caring, nurturing environment.

Applicants must be willing to work with the school in its vision for transformative learning through growth mindset and culturally responsive relationships based learning, where a high level of learner agency and empowerment is encouraged and supported.

The successful applicant will work in a collaborative learning environment with at least one other teacher (who may not have a high level of fluency in te reo Māori), and must be a team player. A high level of fluency in both te reo Māori and English medium is required.

This is a new pilot class in our school requiring a level of 50%–80% te reo Māori. The successful applicant will be well-supported in this role, in a school that is growing in its understanding of te ao Māori, te reo and tikanga Māori.

The bilingual class will be involved in all of the usual school activities such as assemblies, sport, Life Education van, visiting shows, etc, and both the students and teachers will be an inclusive part of the school.
