Re-advertised. Applications are invited for the position of principal at our college. The Board of Trustees seeks to appoint a principal who it regards as having the mana to provide outstanding professional leadership to the school. The appointee will have vision, energy, a focus on student achievement, a commitment to Te Ao Māori, Tikanga Māori, Te Kotahitanga and a passion to further strengthen current goals while offering a clear vision to lead our school into an exciting future.

Our college is situated in the very far north of New Zealand. More than 70% of its students are Māori, of whom a significant proportion whakapapa to the local Muriwhenua iwi of Ngāti Kuri, Te Aupouri, Ngai Takoto, Te Rarawa and Ngāti Kahu.

The new principal must be visionary, inspirational, dynamic and able to build strong relationships both within the school and local community. Applicants should be able to provide evidence to show they have demonstrated high performance in all key areas of educational leadership.

The position starts at the beginning of term 1, 2020.
