The SENCO is required to lead a team of staff working in special education

  • Special education unit dealing with a small group of up to 10 students, aged 13–21, ORRS funded, very high and high needs
  • Gifted and talented students
  • Students with learning difficulties. 

The SENCO will teach 3 mainstream classes. 

The young people in our special needs unit at present have varying degrees of intellectual disability, but it is likely that in future years, they may be joined by students with physical disabilities.
