At Te Kura our students are at the centre of all we do and we are excited to offer the opportunity for exceptional educational leaders to join us at Te Kura in newly developed positions as one of our 3 national leaders of learning, all reporting to the chief advisor curriculum.
The national leader of learning roles can be based at any of our Te Kura offices in Christchurch, Wellington, Hamilton or Auckland. Please note these are non-teaching roles.
The position responsibilities are:
National leader of learning, with additional responsibilities for big picture pedagogy
National leader of learning with additional responsibilities for Ngā Mana Orite (Māori and Pacific Ākonga Achievement), and
National leader of learning with additional responsibilities for wellbeing.
With your indepth experience and knowledge of Te Whāriki and the NZ Curriculum, together with your exceptional proven relationship and communication skills you'll have an inclusive and inspirational leadership style, with an ability to successfully encourage and build collaboration across all Te Kura sites, stakeholders and teams, and to develop and deliver curriculum that ensures our ākonga (students) achieve their goals.
To deliver in this role with the goal of ensuring effective and student outcomes, you'll bring your:
Openness to new ideas, information and differing perspectives and the curiosity to ensure that Te Kura continues to lead the way in effective online curriculum delivery
Knowledge and understanding of, and/or practical experience in delivering authentic big picture learning and practical specialist expertise in learning areas of the New Zealand Curriculum
Indepth understanding and experience in the practical application of Ministry of Education initiatives focused on supporting the diverse needs of all learners, and building success for Māori and Pacific students
Proven experience in online learning design and delivery
Proven ability to innovate, problem solve, achieve goals and prioritise effectively.
