Due to the promotion of our current assistant principal, we are looking for a visionary and collaborative leader to join our senior leadership team. We are seeking a dedicated education professional with a reputation for engaging, inspiring, challenging and empowering both students and staff. You will have the ability to lead student welfare and wellbeing across our school community; lead our dedicated health, guidance, and pastoral teams; be committed to professional learning; collaborative; optimistic; innovative and organised.
In particular, this role has responsibility for:
Ensuring student welfare and wellbeing supports meaningful learning and student agency
Ensuring we provide a safe physical– and emotional environment for our learners
Academic mentoring, including support for students at risk of not achieving
Middle leadership development in particular of our deans team
Pastoral care of Y10–11 learners (in collaboration with cohort deans)
Leading our dedicated team of health and guidance staff.
Other aspects of the role will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
