Our Institute of Education programmes cover the spectrum of general education, professional preparation and continuing education pathways in education. We are now seeking to appoint a dynamic clinical educator to contribute to our primary initial teacher education programme, particularly with regards to practicum. You will possess a relevant postgraduate degree, have recent teaching experience in Aotearoa, have some experience and understanding of initial teacher education and the schooling sector, and evidence an awareness of the critical importance of quality practica experiences for student teachers. Current registration as a teacher with the New Zealand Teaching Council is essential.

It is therefore expected that you will have or be committed to develop an appreciation of the Aotearoa context and a demonstrable empathy towards the needs and aspirations of Māori. The Institute of Education is actively committed to developing a diverse staffing profile that matches that of New Zealand society as a whole.
