We have a unique opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with diverse learners. The successful applicant will lead our large ESOL/learning support and gifted and talented whānau. You will be teaching ESOL classes.
It is a 5-day position that begins term 2, 2020 and involves the following skills:
Attending staff professional learning opportunities
Planning and assessment of high-quality ESOL programmes
Providing stimulating lessons focusing on English language development
Mentoring and coaching learning assistants and English language assistants
Maintaining ESOL status lists
Ensuring ESOL funded students' needs are met and reviewed
Effective communication skills with colleagues and parents
Oversee gifted and talented classes
Be part of the learning languages curriculum team
The ability to effectively lead others
Be part of the schoolwide leadership whānau.
Above all, this applicant must love working with children, display empathy and have a great sense of humour.
