Our school is seeking an enthusiastic and passionate teacher for our tamariki. This is a 0.5 permanent untagged position with the likelihood for the position to be full-time for 2020 with a successful application for Reading Recovery.
We are a small Catholic kura with a family feel. Our children truly care for one another and strive to live by our motto: Believe, Enrich, Glorify and Serve. Our children enjoy dynamic learning programmes inside and outside the classroom, programmes which promote creativity, innovation and excellence. Our community is a melting pot of cultures and extremely supportive of our kura.
Our teachers and children enjoy an attractive modern learning environment which has been carefully designed to allow for open plan learning and single cell learning as required. Our school is well-resourced and classrooms are kitted with digital technologies; 1:1 Chromebooks for our seniors and 1:2 devices for our juniors.
We are looking for a reflective practitioner who is passionate about learning and able to work collaboratively. Strengths in learner agency and culturally responsive practices could be an advantage. Classroom level is negotiable.
Teachers at our kura are eligible for the PTSA allowance and there is a possibility that the successful applicant could have an additional allowance as our school's designated within-school teacher for our Kāhui Ako.
A willingness and ability to take part in religious instruction appropriate to our special character will be a condition of employment.
We welcome pre-visits to our kura – nau mai, haere mai.
