We are a Catholic coeducational secondary school for Y7–13 students, in Auckland. Founded by the Marist Brothers in 1958, it was reclassified in 1983 as a coeducational Catholic secondary school. It maintains its Catholic character and Marist Champagnat charism with a focus on nurturing leaders and people of service in the way of Mary.
The college has a maximum roll of 800 students and has room to grow. It is gaining recognition as a high-achieving school. Student academic results continue to be impressive and the college performs well in performing arts and sports. The ethnic and cultural diversity of the college is included seamlessly in charism and school life.
The board of trustees is seeking to appoint a principal with the skills and attributes to continue to introduce innovation in a blended learning environment; to be focused on student achievement and learning aligned to the future of work and enterprise; to grow leadership skills in others; and to engage our Marist school community.
The new principal will:
Be committed to leading the Catholic special character and the Marist Champagnat charism of the college
Have an aspirational belief in the potential of young people and staff
Be committed to Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and action and have an inclusive approach to cultural diversity
Be experienced in leading a senior team
Have the ability to work collaboratively with the board of trustees.
