Lecturers in teacher education (4 positions)
The School of Education, Te Puna Akopai at Victoria University of Wellington invites applications for lecturer positions in teacher education.
The successful candidates will teach and research in the area of teacher education.
The following one or more areas of specialisation will be considered: mathematics (primary and secondary school), technology (primary and secondary school), literacy (primary school), social sciences/geography (primary and secondary school), visual art (primary and secondary school).
Applicants would be expected to be New Zealand registered teachers who could undertake visiting student-teachers on practicum in schools. The successful candidates will hold a PhD and be expected to teach at both the undergraduate and postgraduate level. The appointees will also supervise Masters and PhD students, maintain a programme of research, secure external research funding, and provide service to the school, faculty, University, community, and profession. We welcome applications from people with research and/or teaching experience in Māori or Pasifika communities and schools.
