We a full primary school located in Tasman, within the heart of the Nelson Lakes National Park area with a roll of 23 pupils in 2 classrooms. We seek an experienced teaching principal with leadership and management experience, to lead our well-resourced school of Y0–8 students.
Lake Rotoiti is a small village within a supportive rural district. A beautiful alpine environment that presents the successful applicant with the opportunity to enjoy skiing, sailing, mountain biking, tramping, fishing, hunting and other lakeside activities and interaction with the wider community.
The successful applicant must be an enthusiastic, self-motivated classroom teacher willing to work in multilevel class groups.
They must have an understanding of the challenges facing students. A commitment to ensuring the best possible outcomes for all students is essential.
This is a dual purpose role (principal/teacher) and it would suit a community-minded principal, deputy principal or an outstanding classroom teacher with proven leadership and management skills. The role will require you to work in partnership and collaboration with the Board of Trustees around strategic and academic goals and management of the school.
