We are looking for the right person with that magic spark who shares our passion and enthusiasm to join our team; working alongside us as a team leader/visiting teacher. This role will involve meeting with prospective families and educators, establishing relationships within our community and sharing our passion for boutique education and care. This position has some flexibility starting at 15 hours per week across 3 days, with the intention to build to 20 hours across 4 days.

We would love to hear from you if you:

  • Are a qualified and fully registered teacher with proven supportive leadership skills and the ability to inspire, empower and collaborate with others
  • Have strength in te reo Māori and a passion for promoting and supporting bicultural practices
  • Are self-motivated with exceptional organisational, administration and time management skills
  • Have a high level of integrity and professionalism as a team player who also has the ability to work autonomously, maintaining relationships within our community of learners
  • Are able to follow and implement systems and processes effectively with knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office, Word and Excel.
  • Have sound budgeting knowledge.

 Key duties include:

  • Responding to enquiries
  • Visiting and supporting educators, families and children
  • Working with the curriculum team to provide an engaging programme of activities and professional learning opportunities
  • The inevitable administration tasks (visit notes, learning stories, internal evaluation, etc).

Ideally you will have experience with home-based childcare but the most important aspect for us is your attitude and values.
