We are a small school (150+ students) with friendly and welcoming students and staff. At our school there is a sense of belonging and care and we seek more teachers to continue our tradition of love, excellence in education and, as a community, to ‘live our faith through our actions'.
Our school community is ethnically diverse, and we welcome children from a range of cultures, including those of Māori, Pacific and Filipino heritage.
We have a particular teaching focus on literacy, particularly in the early years, digital fluency and weaving all areas of learning into the curriculum. A commitment to biculturalism and bilingualism is important to us. All students have a minimum of 30 minutes of te reo Māori instruction a day and we aim to move to a bilingual school in the coming years. The successful applicant will be supported in this and needs the passion and belief that it is important for Māori and all New Zealanders.
Please state your strengths in your covering letter.
Willingness and ability to participate in religious instruction appropriate to the special character of the school is a condition of appointment.
