We are seeking a fully qualified and experienced teacher who will work to ensure all learners – including those with disabilities, neurodiversity, behavioural issues and who are gifted – get the help they need.

The learning support coordinator will focus on:

  • Identifying students with learning needs
  • Support students through building an inclusive school which encourages participation, progress and successful transition
  • Support kaiako/teachers in schools and kura to lift their capability to better meet the needs of learners
  • Support parents and whānau to build better relationships of understanding around learning support and establishing points of contact if needed
  • Work with school or kura leadership team to influence and encourage them about ensuring the needs of all students receive the appropriate support to enhance their learning and progress.

A comprehensive understanding of the learning support systems and experience with working with a range of stakeholders is an advantage.
