Our school, Te Kura a Rohe o Whaingaroa is a coeducational school catering for over 570 Y1–13 students. We serve a community that extends from the northern shores of Aotea Harbour in the south, to Waingaro in the north, and from our glorious West Coast across to the Karangamahanga Range in the east. We celebrate education in a bicultural environment, sustained by our strong values: Poutama, Whanaungatanga, Manaakitanga and Kaitiakitanga.

We seek a NZ registered teacher for our rumaki Māori unit. Successful applicants ideally will be experienced teachers with effective classroom practice in Māori immersion and/or English medium settings. They will be fluent in both te reo and English, bilingual and biliterate. They will also have a sound understanding of the principles that underpin effective immersion education provision, and be able to evidence this in their practice. Applicants must be caring, enthusiastic and empathetic to the needs of our tamariki and their whānau.

Year level negotiable.

This position will start at the beginning of term 1, 2020.
