U6, decile 4. Permanent, full-time position from term 1, 2020. We are a PB4L school and we are part of the Whakatāne Kāhui Ako. The learning support coordinator role is one of the 9 Whakatāne Kāhui Ako positions. The purpose of the LSC is to ensure that children and young people with additional learning needs have access to the services they need.
Our LSC role will focus on supporting students that require specific help with their learning, who would not normally qualify for such help. The role will include assisting with priority and target learners from each syndicate and working with the SENCO for the continued development of the Learning Support Delivery Model. The role involves working with the students, whānau and staff to provide engaging learning assistance.
