We are looking for an enthusiastic educator to take on the learning support coordinator role working with Nga Iwi Primary and Sir Douglas Bader Intermediate. A key aspect will be your ability to build meaningful, professional relationships with outside agencies, the community and the schools.

The LSC will be a fully registered teacher and support all children who have additional learning needs (including gifted and talented) to enable them to access the services they need to progress.

 Applicants will have the ability to:

  • Lead our learning support programme – assist with development of programmes 
  • Be responsible for data collection and ongoing monitoring of students on the learning support register, including gifted and talented
  • Assist with the development of appropriate programmes, as required to support the individual needs of the special needs students within classrooms
  • Work with other LSCs across the COL, and connect with the learning support facilitator and wider agencies.

Position to commence January 2020.
