We are an independent Anglican coed, boarding and day school based in Otahuhu, Auckland. The board, leadership team and teachers are fully committed to academic excellence and providing an all-round education to our students. The college provides NCEA and CIE (Cambridge International Exam) educational pathways.

Providing an all-round education means part of our offering to our students is to provide professional support and counselling as they work through and consider their possible career options.

We are looking for an energetic career professional to work with our experienced and well-respected careers director to provide this service across our 1,100 day and boarding students.

The careers director’s vision is to assist students to develop the capabilities to successfully self-manage and navigate their world of work, life and learning. This will enable them to:

  • Realise their potential
  • Move with confidence towards a personally determined and evolving future
  • Be positive contributors to local, national and global communities
  • Successfully transition to tertiary study, apprenticeships or employment.

The successful applicant will develop and deliver appropriate workshops and one-on-one sessions to our students. They will collaborate with the teaching and pastoral care colleagues and be part of a team where the interests and voices of our students are paramount. They will be committed to upholding and supporting the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi. Applicants with experience working with Māori and Pasifika students will be well-regarded.

There is a degree of administration in the role as the college supports students with applications to domestic and international universities, as well as other educational institutions and potential employers. Therefore, the incumbent will have intermediate computer literacy skills, attention to detail and be able to work independently.

All applicants must be professionally qualified in a relevant field, and legally able to work in New Zealand.
