Suitable applicants will possess the following qualities:

  • Have a career that reflects natural growth from teaching into a leadership role

  • Ability to implement creative learning environments – seeing the environment as the third teacher
  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to form strong relationships with staff, tamariki and whānau
  • Love for learning and professional growth
  • Understanding of the Reggio Emilia approach to education (although not essential)
  • Love for Māori culture and language
  • Resiliency to problem solve and grow
  • High emotional intelligence with the ability to communicate with empathy
  • Passion and desire to mentor and inspire your team
  • Ability to help write and implement strong centre policies
  • ECE registered and qualified.

 What’s in it for you?

  • The chance to be a part of an innovative service and grow professionally
  • A competitive salary package including subsidised childcare (if applicable), first aid certification, flu vaccination, financial support to maintain full registration
  • Ongoing professional development.
