Te Kāhui Ako o Manurewa is seeking to appoint 10 permanent, full-time learning support coordinators who are passionate about inclusive education to help our schools support our children who have additional learning needs, enabling them to access services they need to progress in ways that recognise their identity, language and culture. LSCs will work to build the learning support capability of teachers, and to help identify and plan for the learning support needs of all students in our cluster.
These new roles will be developed according to the needs of our students and to align with our 3 innovative achievement challenges and the specific role descriptions as espoused by the MOE for these roles. Comprising 7 schools, 7 ECEs and Manukau Institute of Technology, Te Kāhui Ako o Manurewa is a cohesive and progressive Community of Learning situated in the centre of Manurewa.
Each of our 7 schools will have at least one LSC, who will work and be located in that specific school within our Kāhui Ako, and be employed by, and responsible to that specific school BOT. Each LSC will, however, be capable of collaborating across our Kāhui Ako with the full team of LSCs within the Manurewa Learning Support Cluster, coordinated by the Kāhui Ako lead principal, delegated to a MLSC lead practitioner.
Past or current effective SENCO and/or RTLB experience highly desirable.
