We are a well-established state-integrated Christian college in Tauranga, providing quality all-round Christian education for over 1,750 students, comprising approximately:

  • 1,650 Y1–13 students (including 80 international students) at the Bethlehem campus
  • 100 Y1–8 students at the Bethlehem College Chapman campus in Rotorua.

Staff enjoy excellent modern resources and fine facilities. The college’s emphasis is on applying biblical principles to all aspects of school curriculum and life. An undertaking to commit to the college’s special character is a condition of all appointments.

Christian thought and practice is integrated across the curriculum, which is broad-based and includes excellence in academics, sports, the performing arts and the shaping of moral leadership and service.

We have a unique opportunity for someone with a strong Christian faith and demonstrated educational leadership, to combine these passions and lead the primary school. We are looking for someone with a proven track record of providing educational excellence, effective leadership and vision to guide and grow the primary school and ensure its ongoing success.

To be successful you will need to demonstrate:

  • A strong personal commitment to protect and enhance the Christian special character of the college
  • People skills and the ability to engage and influence the school community from staff, students and their families, to the board
  • Effective communication
  • Experience in building a competent and collaborative culture
  • An ability and desire to grow and develop staff, and to ensure students achieve and reach their potential
  • A servant heart.
