We are looking for a teacher who is an expert in working with students with additional and special needs and has an excellent understanding of positive behaviour management. The teacher we are seeking will have experience working with students who have difficulty with emotional regulation and students who present with challenging behaviours. This person will be able to successfully use their knowledge and skills to de-escalate students as well as work with or lead a team of people to support the de-escalation process.
Start date 27 January 2020.

The person we seek will be able to work collaboratively within and across teaching teams, will be motivated to research new and relevant information, have the skillset to share information in an accessible way to both students and staff and have the ability to maintain, evolve and develop reporting systems. The person in this position will be released to provide behaviour support but from time-to-time may be required to undertake classroom teaching and this may be in a relief capacity or in a classroom teaching position. This position will be primarily based at our base school but may include working within our primary, secondary and tertiary satellites.
