We seek a school chaplain to lead the worship and spiritual life of our school. The school chaplain’s position is 0.6 FTTE, which includes teaching religious education throughout the school. The additional 0.4 FTTE will be a teaching role, depending on the teaching strengths and experience of the person.
The position requires maintaining and growing our school’s strong spiritual and pastoral presence, with a progressive, future-focused religious education programme, to meet the needs of our learners, staff and wider school community.
The successful applicant must have a strong commitment to the Christian faith, an active involvement in the life of the church, and a sound knowledge of Anglican liturgy.
We are looking for an innovative and passionate school chaplain and teacher, who is able to lead and work within a team and instil a positive team culture. They will have the ability to build strong and positive relationships with students, colleagues and families, and will be an excellent communicator, collaborator and a self-starter.
We offer future-focused teaching and learning in a modern learning environment, collaborative teaching, self-managing learners, a teacher-learner ratio of 1:20, specialist teachers for art, music, dance, drama and religious education, a sports coordinator, state-of-the-art facilities, extensive grounds, generous curriculum and PLD budgets, off-street parking, and a free lunch every day.
Applicants must be New Zealand registered teachers. Come and join our team in the beautiful Wairarapa.
